Fittness Classes

If you want to get active then I highly suggest attending the fitness classes on base. The classes are free, fun and a great way to meet new people! The instructors are always excited to see new faces in their classes and are always very welcoming! A few of the classes I have attended are: Yoga, Spin, Body Blast, Cardio Insanity, and Step Aerobics. I have had a great time in all of them! I am a regular of spin and attend several spin classes throughout the week so if you would like to do spin but don't want to go alone contact me and we can go together!

For mommies with little ones their are "Mom and Tots" classes available! They will be listed on the schedule as *Kids Allowed*

Gardening

Well, it's the time of year for planning your garden! In a new country you may not be sure where to go for supplies and seeds. While browsing on base I found only a few seed packets left and while I'm sure they will probably get in another shipment I was interested to see what Italia has to offer in the gardening department. I have only been able to explore one nursery and one gardening store. Both where located on SS13 between Pordenone and Sacile. If you are headed in the direction of Sacile these stores are on the left hand side of the road. Sorry, I don't remember the names but if you just start driving and explore you will probably find them plus many more! Also, the markets will have seeds for sale.
If you know of a garden center/nursery you love please share with a comment!

ITT Trip to Munich and Dachau

The tour bus took about 7 hours total to get from Aviano to Munch. That is with a stop for breakfast for about 45-50 minutes. This was our first trip with ITT and we really enjoyed it. If you are not sure what to do or where to go I suggest taking one of these trips. Then if you really enjoy the place you visited then you can go back on your own time for a longer stay if you want! If you have attended an ITT trip you really enjoyed please post a comment telling where you went! Happy Traveling!

Shipping Pets

Your pet needs to be seen by a U.S. Department of Agriculture certified vet. Base vets are USDA certified. If there is no base near where your pet is coming from you need to google and call around to find a vet that is USDA cert. Your pet must be microchipped with an internatianl chip BEFORE it gets it's rabies shot. The 2nd link tells what to do if your pet already had shots before the microchip.

Here are the links I have gathered.
